Last weekend was a holiday (I don’t know why) and after a very long week in uni I went to Santa Marta with my family, where we have visited before and came back because has some of our favorite beaches in the country.
Day 1: I hadn’t sleep the night before so I slept in the airplane as soon as I sat down and the rest of the afternoon I was like a zombie, we did some shopping and then I went to sleep, my family went to the pool but even I needed so bad some summer fun I didn’t have energy so, bed.
Day 2: We woke up early and went to “Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino” which used to be like a farm where Simon Bolivar, who, for those who don’t know, was the deliverer of independence of Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia and Panama, some of us had gone there but some no so, we went ._. After spending the morning there and fighting to decide if going to “White Beach” or “Barranquilla Zoo” we chose the first option. In the beach we did some snorkeling and jet ski.
Day 3: Sunday was the longest day, we were so excited about going to Tayrona National Natural Park, so we let the hotel, took the car and drive to the park, after all the process to buy the tickets we finally got in, the park is amazingly beautiful, the nature is so variety and respected, the bad thing, we wasn’t prepare to walk that much. None of us was dress properly: I was in spadrilles, my little cousins in crocs, auntie had a foot surgery a couple of months ago and was wearing in flip flops, anyway, we had a hard time, an adventure. But against that we had a great lunch and amazing time in the great beaches, next time I’ll be totally ready.
Day 4: We did a quick photoshoot in the morning and then we came back to Bogota.
Fact: The flight Bogota (BOG) – (SMR) Santa Marta is 1.5 Hrs aprox.
Recommendations: In the park there are many ways to arrive and stay there. Boots, ecological repellent, drinks.
