As I have told I live in Bogota and right now is rain season!! Everyday the sky falls in drops and the only thing I can think/wear is boots! They have become my «have to» piece, and even I like them really much I’ve been an sneakers boy always but you know, we have to dress according to the event and right now the dress code is: Rain. As this have been told, I need to buy new pairs of boots and because I don’t have money for high fashion I used it as inspiration (joke/not joke) by the way you must be wondering what the hell is doing Rihanna here, I put some images of her to compair how girls use the same styles or as inspiration too. Here is my choice from the Fall/Winter 2016/2017 Menswear collections.
Como algunos sabrán vivo en Bogotá y ya empezó la temporada de lluvias! Todos los días el cielo se rompe y lo único en lo que puedo pensar/usar son botas! Se han vuelto en mi pieza obligatoria cada día y aunque me gustan bastante, siempre he sido una persona de tenis, pero pues ya saben, hay que vestirse de acuerdo a la ocasión y el código de vestuario ahora es: Lluvia. Dicho esto, necesito comprar botas nuevas y cómo no hay dinero para comprar piezas de las grandes casas de moda las usaré como inspiración jajaja (no es broma) por cierto, se preguntarán que hace Rihanna aquí, bueno usé algunas imágenes de ella para hacer una comparación de cómo se aplican los diferentes estilos en ellas vs nosotros y algunas de inspiración. Aquí está mi selección de las colecciones Otoño/Invierno Masculinas.
Classic boots:
The forever style, not too tall not too short, with laces and a little heel (yes, that’s how they are called). These boots are for everyone and never go out of style.
Las botas de toda la vida, no son muy altas ni muy bajas, con cordones y el pequeño tacón (si, así se les llama). Estas botas le sientan a cualquiera y jamás pasarán de moda.
Ankle boots:
These are some of my favorite boots, they are: cool, wearable, easy-breezy as I like to say. Perfect by day and even better by night, for festivals, parties, dates and more because they are not too elegant or casual. You can find them in many ways.
Conocidos coloquialmente como «botines» este estilo es uno de mis favoritos: geniales, fáciles de llevar y relajados. Son perfectos para el día y aún mejores en la noche, para festivales, fiestas, citas y más, porque no son demasiado elegantes ni demasiado casuales. Hay un universo entero entorno a este modelo.
Military boots:
As the name says, this are boots with some army inspiration, usually they are a little taller than the classic, with laces too and a heavy look.
Como el mismo nombre lo dice son botas inspiradas en el ejército, nomalmente son más largas que las clásicas, también con cordones y una apariencia de ser pesadas.
Snow & Rain
This is a diferent category, is not just style, these boots have a purpose, with function and are for special places/moments… or at least they look like that.
Ésta categoría va más allá del modelo, son botas con propósito, con función y son para lugares/momentos especiales… o al menos eso hacen creer.
High & Cowboy
Well… These are risky styles, both tend to be tall but definetly they are not for every man, just for those who like to have fun with fashion. I found them so cool in their own way, I can’t say I love them all but something is clear, I admire them all.
Bueno, estos estilos son muy arriesgados, ambos tienden a ser altos pero definitivamente no son para todo hombre, solo para aquellos que nos gusta divertirnos con la moda. Me parecen geniales, cada una a su manera, no puedo decir que me encanten todas, pero si puedo decir que todas las admiro.
Chelsea & more…
The «chelsea» boots have become and icon and a must in men’s wardrobe. You can find them elegant like the next models or a little bit casual as those that Kanye West wears all the time. The «more» section is about boots maybe with a style with not many designs to be a category by their own as the sporty vibes or so different they didn’t fit in another one.
Las botas «chelsea» se han convertido en un icono y un «must» en el guardarropa masculino. Las pueden encontrar elegantes como las que están a continuación o un poco más casual como las que usa Kanye West todo el tiempo. En la sección de «más» están las botas con estilos que no tenían suficientes diseños para ser una categoría completa como las de aires deportivo o que son tan diferentes que no encajan en ninguna de las otras.
